how I spent my holiday

  I think this semester break would be a meaningful day for me. On 3th and 4th of october, I had attend a function in Taiping where we are having a great performance in the Dewan Perbandaran Taiping. We having a big group of choir which reach 275 number of people in a choir. It is really a great performance.ALthough i am not so sure with the effect of it, but i think it really bombared the heart of every audience inside the hall.


  well, after this performance, my senior Sis Kow had question me about the objective and the effect of this function. How far this function would affect the audience. Hm, I think she really point out some problem inside it." Well, using music as a dhamma propagation really can reach a big affect?"


  Well, she has lead me to think about this issue. Well, I think I  knew what she means. I think what she means is how this function affect the audience on the function and the most important target audience--- the participant of the function.


  Through my observation throughout the three days, ya, I agree that the participant who joining this activity is more like having fun with this activity ( including me). Hm, for my opinion, this should be a normal phenomena.Everybody seems to be more concentrate and emphasize on fun. The point question by my senior is: after everyone joining this function, what they had learn and gain? Would it help everyone to growth in the path of learning dhamma? Would it help to make the Buddhist to be stronger?


  Well, this is a realistic problem that we often facing nowadays. What I mean is not only this function. It make me think and brainstorming about the effect of a function and event. Sometimes, I found out that many people are planning a programme with the objective that we want to do a programme. We already in a blind spot. after we gain the attention from the public, actually what it is left after doing a function.


  I always believe that learning is an important issue, topic and process in everyone life. So does doing a function. If we can't learn something, then what is the point we put so much effort on it. Ya, for me the impact of the function can judge from the reponse of the audience, but the success of the event cannot be evaluate by now. It need time to prove the growth of everyone of us after joining the function.


  Hopefully, everyone of us growth from it.
